Airstream Bambi I 1961 wurde in sehr geringer Stückzahl (84 Stk.) ab Airstream Inc. Werk Ohio produziert.

This is a classically restored Bambi at its finest. The charming size, style, and layout of the Bambi are enough to make you want to go camping. This trailer has the feel of a classy car, that intangible aura that connects you to both the beauty of the past and the wonder of the future.
Exterior: This Bambi has a fantastic exterior, especially considering its age. It has been polished to a mirror shine and is a spectacle going down the road. The trailer does not have any noticeable dents or major scratches. All of the correct name badges are on the trailer.
Interior: Everything about the interior of this trailer is superb. The couches are newly upholstered and extremely comfortable. The hardwood bamboo flooring accents the rest of the interior. As an early 60′s Bambi, the trailer features wonderful original gold trim and hardware. A copper accent above the stove brings out the other aspects of a unique 60′s trailer.
Storage: As with all Airstreams, this Bambi was specifically designed to accommodate as much storage as is possible within a limited area of space. There are storage areas beneath both couches and in an overhead compartment. There is a full closet compartment along with a deep pantry. You will find storage space beneath the kitchen sink and several drawers for kitchen utensils and such.

The brakes and bearings have been serviced. During the restoration, the belly pan was dropped and the gray water tank was added. The frame was painted with rust inhibitor and then undercoating. The bottom of the trailer was completely re-insulated.

The Bambi was re-constructed by an famous American Customizer. For European roadworthyness it needs new EU axles, brakes, hitch system, 230 V or 110 V Adapter, and other adatpion work.
